    • Mild earthquake hits 51km away from Oman’s Sur

    Muscat: An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 was monitored in Sea of Oman on Sunday, August 11, 2024, said the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC). 

    In a statement the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said that an earthquake in the Sea of Oman was recorded at 08:51 pm MCT, at a depth of 2 KM. The earthquake was recorded 51 km NE, away from Sur.
