Oman Across Ages Museum receives 25,000 visitors during National Day holiday

Manah: The number of visitors to the Oman Through Time Museum in the Wilayat of Manah, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, during the 54th National Day holiday reached nearly 25,000 visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

Eng. Al Yaqzan bin Abdullah Al Harthy, Director General of the Oman Museum Through Time, said that the museum represents an integrated tourist destination for various segments of society and contributes significantly to introducing the Omani identity, Oman’s ancient history, and its geological and geographical diversity, in addition to the achievements of the blessed renaissance, with the modern technologies it is equipped with, in addition to the availability of many services, facilities and capabilities that make it a destination for visitors throughout the year.

He added that the museum management has put in place many facilities and procedures to receive the large numbers of visitors during this holiday, including supporting an additional number of employees, involving the community in some voluntary and investment activities, extending visiting hours and advance booking through the museum’s website, in addition to many facilities that enable the visitor to enter the museum and learn about the history of Oman and its renewed renaissance through the museum’s exhibition halls (History Hall / Renaissance Hall) and enjoy the museum’s various facilities designated to serve visitors.

He stressed that the museum administration has sought during the past period to facilitate the ticket booking process through a group of electronic services that have been provided through the museum’s website to facilitate visitors coming to the museum. It is worth noting that the museum exhibition halls receive visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and on Friday from 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
