Muscat: The 4th edition of the exhibition and conference for agriculture, fisheries and food kicked off at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) today under the auspices of Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
The three-day event seeks to introduce the latest food products, agricultural and marine equipment and machinery, as well as greenhouse technologies and systems of hydroponics and irrigation.
Al Habsi said in a statement on the occasion that the exhibition and the conference offer an opportunity for the exchange of knowledge in the field of business and food processing. Omani companies get an ideal chance to conclude deals with international firms taking part in the event, he added.
The conference also enables specialists to learn and expand their experience, exchange their expertise and explore solutions to address challenges in these fields, making use of the progress made in developed countries.
