Oman Air achieves Eighth IOSA renewal certification

Muscat: Continuing to set benchmarks for safety and quality, Oman Air has achieved its eighth International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification.

The airline was awarded the renewal for the global accreditation after a successful audit on its operational management and control systems.

Capt. Nasser Ahmed Al Salmi, Oman Air’s Chief Operating Officer, said, “The new certification has once again demonstrated the airline’s adherence to the world’s top aviation safety standards. Safety is a continuous journey and our consistent success in the IOSA audits is a testament to our efforts to remain on track. We continue to foster a robust safety culture and uphold the highest possible standards in all our operations.”

On his turn, Capt. Salim Ali Al Rashdi, Vice President Quality Assurance Operations, commented, “At Oman Air, safety and security are always our top priority. We are proud of this latest accomplishment and extend our gratitude to all our employees on their steadfast commitment to the security and safety of our passengers.”

Having established itself as an industry leader in aviation safety, Oman Air maintains a strong safety and security performance track record. In 2018, the airline was named one of the top five most secure and airlines in the world and has continued to uphold its reputation by attaining excellent levels of compliance every year.
