Oman Air Fleet Reaches 33 Aircraft with Delivery of New Boeing 737 MAX 8
Muscat: Oman Air has received its newest Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, marking the final delivery in a supply program that included seven Boeing 787 and 737 aircraft over the past year.
With this delivery, the national carrier’s total fleet has increased to 33 aircraft, concluding a major investment phase that has contributed to strengthening Oman Air’s route network and increasing flight frequencies across its destinations.
The newly received aircraft will join the narrow-body fleet, serving short- and medium-haul destinations, and enhancing the airline’s ability to meet growing demand with high operational efficiency and advanced aviation technologies.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 offers an enhanced passenger experience, featuring advanced noise-reduction technologies for a quieter journey, along with a modern cabin designed to provide high standards of comfort, luxury, and sophistication.
The aircraft also reflects Oman Air’s commitment to sustainable growth, as its fuel-efficient engines help reduce fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions, achieving a balance between environmental performance and service excellence.
Following the completion of this expansion phase, Oman Air is preparing for the next stage of growth in 2028, when six new wide-body aircraft are scheduled to join the fleet. These additions are expected to support the expansion of long-haul operations and reinforce the national carrier’s role as a global link connecting the Sultanate of Oman with international markets.
