Muscat: A comprehensive emergency exercise will be carried out at Marmul Airport, today, Wednesday, between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM
In a statement Oman Airports said: As part of Oman Airports’ and PDO’s efforts to follow the highest standards for emergency response at oilfield airports, and in implementation of the procedures followed to assess the applicable regulations and laws for emergency response under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority and in cooperation with strategic partners in the Royal Oman Police ( Directorate General of Airport Security, Directorate General of Operations and Oil and Gas Facilities Security Police Command), Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority, Security and Safety Services, TRANSOM handling and other relevant authorities, a comprehensive emergency exercise will be carried out at Marmul Airport, today, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm.
An intensive movement of ambulances and emergency vehicles to/form the airport will be noticed during this period. All necessary procedures have been taken to ensure that airport operations or traffic in the airport adjacent area are not affected by these exercises.
