Muscat: The total number of passengers travelling through airports of the Sultanate of Oman until the end of March 2023 grew by 88% to reach 3,287,015 million, as against 1,746,259 passengers during the corresponding period in 2022, according to the latest reported preliminary data released by the National Centre for Statistics and information (NCSI).
The total number of passengers via Muscat International Airport stood at 2,959,829 million at the end of March 2023, marking a rise of 100.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The total number of flights at Muscat International Airport also rose by 93.9 % to 22.145 flights at the end of March 2023, from 11.419 flights for the same period of 2022.
Meanwhile, the number of passengers via Salalah Airport increased at the end of March 2023 by 34.2% to reach 304.538 passengers on board 2.184 flights, with an increase in the number of flights amounting to 33.2%, compared to the same period in 2022.
The total number of passengers via Sohar Airport till the end of March 2023 reached 5.401 passengers on board 76 flights, while the number of passengers via Duqm Airport reached 17,247 passengers on 152 flights.
