Muscat: Oman has ranked among the seven safest countries in the world, according to a recent report published by Nomad Capitalist, the world’s leading offshore consulting firm.

The report, which ranked Oman in sixth place among the safest countries, said that the Sultanate is very confident in its potential and aims to become a popular tourist destination in the near future.

He stated that the economic growth in Oman has been incredibly impressive over the past fifty years, noting that the size of the Omani economy is thirteen times what it was in 1980.

He stressed that Oman is an attractive place for businessmen, adding that it adheres to strict religious, moral and legal teachings, which makes crime rates very low.

The report pointed out that the Sultanate is located on the edge of the Arabian Peninsula, and is one of the countries in the region with the most stunning and diverse landscapes.

He said: Imagine a dramatic coastline that rivals the beaches of Hawaii or Brazil, and the silky sand dunes of the Rub al-Khali desert.
The list also included Iceland, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Slovenia and Georgia.
