Oman and Azerbaijan Review Investment, Economic Opportunities

Baku: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today highlighted means of enhancing areas of economic, investment and trade cooperation between the Omani private sector and its Azerbaijani counterpart.

This took place in Baku within the framework of OCCI’s participation in the 2nd GCC-Azerbaijan Economic Forum that is organized by the Federation of GCC Chambers.

The forum’s activities began with a visit to Alat Free Economic Zone in Baku, Azerbaijan.

During the visit, the business milieu of the zone was reviewed, in addition to facilities offered to investors. Further, the GCC-Azerbaijan forum will discuss tomorrow (Thursday) a spectrum of topics dealing with joint cooperation in the fields of renewable energy, clean energy, water and electricity.

It will also highlight challenges and opportunities in the sectors of transport, logistic services and strategic partnerships between GCC countries and Azerbaijan in areas of agriculture, food security and food industries. On the sidelines of the forum, several B2B meetings will be held between GCC and Azerbaijani businesspeople.
