Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Federal Republic of Germany marked the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.
A ceremony was held at the Foreign Ministry here today to mark this occasion.
The event, organized in cooperation with the German Embassy in Muscat, was attended by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Diplomatic Affairs and Thomas Schneider, German Ambassador to Oman and several officials from both sides.
A commemorative stamp was revealed during the ceremony to embody the advanced relations between the two countries.
Oman and Germany laid the foundations of fruitful cooperation in political, diplomatic, economic and cultural fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1972.
