Muscat: The bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly Republic of India are witnessing remarkable development and close cooperation that has contributed to the creation of strategic partnerships based on trust and mutual respect, strengthened by civilizational and historical relations that go deep into history.
The volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the friendly Republic of India at the end of the third quarter of 2023 reached to RO 1.447 billion, as the volume of Omani exports to India amounted to RO 699.218 Million, represented in petroleum oils, mineral materials, liquefied natural gas, polyethylene, propylate, aluminum and urea.
While the volume of Omani imports from India amounted to RO 747.883 Million, consisting of rice, motor fuel, natural gasoline, wheat, ignition control in motor fuel, and iron ore.
The volume of investments from the Republic of India in the Sultanate of Oman at the end of last June amounted to RO 378.4 million, and the number of Indian companies investing in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of 2022 reached 1,744 companies with an investment volume of RO 281 million, distributed among the industry sectors: construction, trade, transportation, communications, and oil and gas. Mining, quarrying, education, agriculture, fisheries, tourism and health.
The invitation of the friendly Republic of India, the Sultanate of Oman, as a guest of honor to attend the work of the G20, which it hosted, represents an affirmation of the strong and sincere relations between the two friendly countries, which was confirmed by Muscat and New Delhi during the eighth Omani-Indian strategic dialogue last January, which highlighted the top priority that the two leaderships attach to strengthening Bilateral strategic relations based on trust and mutual respect.
