Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and Japan today exchanged greetings on the 50th Anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. This was stated during a phone call made by Hayashi Yoshimasa, Japan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
The two sides reiterated their keenness on sustaining the advanced level of deep-rooted bilateral relations and close cooperation between the two countries. They also underscored the attention accorded to economic and technological partnerships in a manner that bolsters investments in economic diversification and renewable energy.
The two sides laid emphasis on maintaining a ceasefire in Yemen and intensifying diplomatic efforts to stop the war in Ukraine and achieve global peace and security. They also affirmed the significance of accomplishing balance and stability in the energy market.
The Japanese Minister of Foreign Affairs invited Sayyid Badr to visit Japan to foster sound dialogue in various matters and programmes of common interest.
