Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister received a telephone call from Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the call, the two ministers discussed relations of cooperation relations and ways to enhance them across various fields in a manner that serves mutual interests.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, reaffirming the importance of sustaining coordination and consultation, supporting efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability, and prioritizing the approach of dialogue and understanding among nations.
On his part, Sayyid Badr congratulated his Kyrgyz counterpart on Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the upcoming two years.
He expressed his sincere wishes for Kyrgyzstan’s success in fulfilling this international responsibility, thereby contributing to efforts to maintain international peace and security, and to reinforce the rules of international law and the principles of the UN Charter.
