New York: The Sultanate of Oman and the Solomon Islands signed today a statement establishing diplomatic relations at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations in New York.
The statement was signed on the part of the Sultanate of Oman by His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, while it was signed on the part of the Solomon Islands by His Excellency Jeremiah Manelli, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
The two sides expressed their common desire to encourage more diplomatic communication, trade and economic cooperation, develop friendly relations between the two countries and peoples, and exchange experiences.
