Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today met with Lord Edward Llewellyn, Director General for Political Affairs at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of topics of mutual interest, focusing on the latest regional developments and their implications.
They exchanged views on ways to reduce tensions and promote political and diplomatic solutions aimed at supporting regional stability.
The meeting also addressed the importance of safeguarding maritime routes and strategic straits, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, and ensuring the smooth flow of international navigation to protect global supply chains and economic stability.
Both sides underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination in security and maritime fields, as well as strengthening commitment to international law and the principles of freedom of navigation.
