    • Oman and Vatican Establish Diplomatic Ties

    The Sultanate of Oman and the Holy See (Vatican) in New York signed the joint statement on the establishment of diplomatic relations based on the relations of cooperation and friendship between them.

    The statement was signed on behalf of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman by His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Muhammad bin Awad Al Hassan, Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations, and on behalf of the Government of the Holy See (Vatican) Archbishop Gabriel Cacha, Permanent Representative of the Holy See (Vatican) to the United Nations.
