Al Isra’a Wal Miraj Holiday Announced in Oman
Muscat: Thursday, 8 February 2024 declared an official holiday for employees at public and private sectors on the occasion of Al Isra’a Wal Miraj.
In a statement the Ministry of Labour announced that Thursday 27 Rajab 1445 AH corresponding to 8 February 2024 will be an official holiday for employees of units of the State’s Administrative Apparatus and other legal entities, as well as establishments of the private sector on the occasion of the blessed anniversary of Al Isra’a Wal Miraj.
The Ministry pointed out that employers may agree on terms to engage employees on the said holiday—if deemed necessary due to the nature of their work—provided they compensate the workers for the holiday.
