Muscat: The Ministry of Health represented by the General Directorate of Pharmacy and Drug Control issued a license to import a vaccine (Pfizer / Bionic Covid 19) for emergency use to prevent Coronavirus (Covid-19) for the age group of 16 years and over.

This procedure came as part of the Ministry’s efforts to ensure facilitation and acceleration of the provision of vaccine in the Sultanate for emergency use according to the policies approved by the Ministry, after the General Directorate of Pharmacy and Drug Control evaluated the efficacy and safety studies that were presented by the American company Pfizer upon its receipt on 11/26/2020 AD and reached To the conclusion that the known and potential benefits of the vaccine outweigh the expected risks and after it has been approved by the health authorities in the United Kingdom and Canada and the US Food and Drug Administration.
