Oman announces opening of the Wadi Dayqah Dam gate from 14 April

Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources announced the opening of the Wadi Dayqah dam gate to drain about 20 million cubic meters of water during the period from 14-27 April 2022.

The Ministry circular explained that the aim of opening the dam’s gate is to feed the underground reservoir for the farms of the people of the Daghamr and Hail Al Ghaf regions.

The Ministry called on citizens to stay away from the valley and abide by safety instructions.

It is worth noting that the Wadi Dayqah Dam has a storage capacity of 100 million m3 and a height of 75 meters.
