The Unified Admission Center at the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation announced the admission results for the first screening for the academic year 2023/2024.
The center stated that the number of students admitted to higher education institutions, scholarships, and internal and external grants reached (27,629) students.
The center indicated that the total number of those admitted to government higher education institutions reached 15,358 people, the total number of those accepted to internal scholarships in private higher education institutions was 10,890 people, and the total number of those accepted to external scholarships and grants was 619 people. The total number of those accepted into internal scholarships provided by the private sector to study in private educational institutions in the Sultanate of Oman reached 762 people, the total number of people accepted into social security programs was 593 people, and the total number of people accepted into limited income programs was 487 people. As for the total number of those admitted to the programs for students with disabilities, out of the total number of seats, it reached 122 people.
The center indicated that the percentage of occupied seats amounted to (93%) of the total number of available seats, and the percentage of those who received offers out of the total successful applicants amounted to (67%).
The center stressed that the accepted students must complete their registration procedures in the institutions of higher education and the bodies they were accepted in, starting tomorrow, Thursday, corresponding to 8/17/2023.
