Branko said during the press conference held today: The team is awaiting important matches during the coming period, starting with the double qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Nations, which will start next November, as the 2026 World Cup tournament system was changed after increasing the number of qualifying teams from the Asian continent. He added: The second mission for the team in the coming period is to participate in the 2024 Asian Cup during next January, where our team will enter the tournament with high ambitions in the sixth group, accompanied by the teams of Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Kyrgyzstan. The players will be prepared for the tournament according to a preparatory program that is compatible with the local competitions represented in the Omantel League. Branko touched on the two friendly matches against the Palestinian national team on September 6th and the American national team on December 12th, and said: The two matches are very important for improving performance, raising the level, and monitoring the readiness of the players, especially facing the American national team (ranked 11th in the world).
