Muscat: Oman announces Wednesday April 14 First day of Ramadan

In a statement Meraoman, announced, The committee has NOT received any evidence of sighting the crescent today, therefore it announces that tomorrow, Tuesday April 13, 2021 will mark the end of Sha’ban 1442 AH, and Wednesday (April 14, 2021) will mark the beginning of Holy Ramadan 1442 AH

And on this blessed occasion, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs is pleased to deliver its sincere congratulations and good wishes to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, May the Almighty Allah protect Him and grant Him good health, said in the statement Meraoman

It is worth noting that the Supreme Committee in charge of examining the mechanism for dealing with developments resulting from the spread of the Coronavirus Covid 19 had previously issued a statement in which it approved the complete ban on all Ramadan gatherings such as “iftars” in mosques and other places such as tents and public councils, and the prohibition of social, sports and cultural activities. And other group activities during the holy month of Ramadan.

The committee decided to ban all commercial activities and prevent movement of individuals and vehicles from 9 pm to 4 am throughout the days of the holy month of Ramadan, and not to hold Tarawih prayers in mosques.
