Oman, Austria review ways to enhance trade exchange

Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Trade, Industry and Promotion received today at  Invest in Oman lounge today Dr. Martin Kocher The Federal Minister of Labor and Economy of the Republic of Austria and his accompanying delegation visiting the Sultanate of Oman currently.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ares of joint cooperation. They also reviewed means of enhancing bilateral relations, especially in the fields of commerce, industry and investment promotion in a bid to boost trade exchange between them.

The meeting was attended by Pankaj Khimji, Advisor for Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and several officials from both sides.

Meanwhile, the Austrian Minister of Labour and Economy and his accompanying delegation went on tour of the InvestOman Lounge. During the tour, they were briefed on the services and facilities provided by the lounge to investors willing to invest in the Sultanate of Oman, the investment mechanism and the entities associated with it, the capabilities and information it provides to investors, and the most prominent available opportunities in various economic sectors in the Sultanate of Oman.

During the visit, a presentation was given on the features of the investment, tourism and economic milieus in the Sultanate of Oman. The presentation also covered economic developments, laws and facilities offered by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion to investors in different fields.
