Import value of auto spare parts to Oman reaches over RO 105 million in November 2023
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman’s total imports of vehicle spare parts by the end of November 2023 amounted to RO 105,459,262, a decrease of 29.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022, amounting to RO 148,859,428.
Data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information indicated that the United Arab Emirates topped the list of countries importing a value of RO 42,762 million, a decrease of 25 percent compared to the end of November 2022.
Statistics showed that the number of vehicle spare parts imported by the Sultanate of Oman by the end of November 2023 amounted to about 20 million 433 thousand and 29 pieces with a total weight of 25 million 212 thousand and 557 kilograms, compared to 29 million 708 thousand and 651 pieces with a total weight of 32 million 593 thousand and 452 kilograms by the end of November 2022.
On the other hand, statistics showed that the total value of the Sultanate of Oman’s exports of vehicle spare parts recorded at the end of November 2023 about 86 million, 623 thousand and 519 Omani riyals, a decrease of 15.2 percent compared to the value of exports in the same period in 2022, which recorded 102 million, 203 thousand and 191 Omani riyals.
The United Arab Emirates is at the forefront of exporting countries, with a value of 36 million 899 thousand and 49 Omani riyals, a decrease of 28 percent compared to the end of November 2022.
The number of vehicle spare parts exported amounted to about 13 million 221 thousand 298 pieces, with a total weight of 37 million 164 thousand and 43 kilograms, compared to 17 million 578 thousand 303 pieces with a total weight of 33 million 933 thousand and 794 kilograms at the end of November 2022. It is noteworthy that the total number of institutions and establishments operating in the activity of selling spare parts for motor vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman by the end of 2022 AD amounted to two thousand and 139 institutions and 5 thousand and 123 establishments.
