Oman bans sale of e-Cigarettes e-Shisha and their accessories 

Muscat: His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem Al Hakmani, CPA Chairman,, issued Decisions Nos. 756 and 757/2023 amending the ban on the sale of e-shisha & e-cigarette and their accessories as well as the prohibition on the sale of furniture made of recycled materials, fabrics, and sponges. The decision imposes RO1000 fine against violators.

It is prohibited to trade e-cigarette, e-shisha and their accessories

Without prejudice to the criminal penalties stipulated in the Consumer Protection Law, any person who violates the provisions of this decision shall be subject to an administrative fine not exceeding OMR 1000 (one thousand Omani riyals), which is doubled in the event of a repeat offense.

If the violation continues, the Authority will impose an administrative fine of OMR 50 (fifty Omani riyals) per day, up to a maximum of OMR 2,000 (two thousand Omani riyals).

The confiscated e-shisha & e-cigarette and their accessories will be destroyed in compliance with the PACP regulations currently in effect.

The aforementioned decision No. 695/2015 is hereby repealed, and all that contravenes with this decision shall be deemed repealed.
