Oman bans import of live fish from Sibiu, Romanian

Muscat: The Ministry of Agricultural Wealth, Fisheries and Water Resources decided to ban the import of some live fish and its derivatives and offal from Sibiu, Romania, based on a recommendation from the World Organization for Animal Health.

The decision shall remain in effect until the reason for the ban is removed and a decision is issued in this regard, with the exception of products treated and processed in accordance with the Aquatic Animal Health Law issued by the World Organization for Animal Health.

This decision was made based on the recommendation of the competent veterinary authority and reports issued by the World Organization for Animal Health, and is effective from the date of its issuance, Tuesday, April 5.
