Muscat: The Telecommunications Regulations Authority (TRA) carries out limited trail of third generation services shutdown as part of the plans to identify the challenges ahead of gradual suspension of all 3G services in the country by the Q3 of 2024
In a statement Telecommunications Regulations Authority (TRA) said: With the aim of improving the quality of telecommunications services, and to streamline resources and investments in emerging and next-generation technologies, The TRA intends to carry-out a limited trial of third generation services shutdown, according to plans prepared in coordination with mobile network operators.
The trial aim to identify the potential challenges in preparation the gradual shutdown planned from the third quarter 2024
