Muscat: Oman Cables Announces Appointment of new Chief Executive Officer ‘Mr Erkan Aydogdu’

In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange the company said: “The Board of Directors hereby informs its shareholders, investors and analysts, that the current Chief Executive Officer Ms. Cinzia Farisé will be moving in January 2024 to a higher strategic role at Prysmian Group headquarter with global responsibilities. Furthermore, the Board of Di- rectors in its meeting held on 18 December 2023 ap- pointed Mr. Erkan Aydogdu to be the new Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

The joining date of the new Chief Executive Officer Mr. Aydogdu will be upon the completion of the required reg- ulatory procedures associated with concerned authori- ties. Until the joining date, which will be disclosed in due course, Ms. Farisé will continue in her role as Chief Exec- utive Officer.

Mr. Aydogdu is coming from his recent position as Chief Executive Officer of Oceania and Southeast Asia at Prysmian Group, bringing experience from previous roles at Prysmian Group, Turk Prysmian Kablo and Pirelli Cavi Italia. Mr. Aydogdu holds a 2015 – 2017 Global Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi University in Milan. With a robust skill set that includes Logistics, Continuous Improvement, R&D, Quality Assurance, Management and more, Mr. Ay- dogdu contributes valuable insights to the industry.

The Board of Directors, on behalf of the Company, would like to express the appreciation to Ms. Cinzia Farisé for her significant contribution, services and achievements during her tenure and wishes her continuous success in the new global role where she will continue to support and advise the Company.”
