Oman celebrates the anniversary of Isra and Miraj in Nizwa

Nizwa: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, celebrated the anniversary of Isra and Mi’raj – upon its owner the best prayers and the purest greeting – at Nizwa Fort in the Governorate of A’Dakhiliyah.

The ceremony embodied lessons, meanings, great stances, great intentions, and lessons drawn from the incident of Israa and Mi’raj of the Prophet – With the aim of instilling the faith and historical value of this solemn occasion in the hearts of Muslims and reminding the Islamic world of it.

The miracle of the Isra’ and Mi’raj is one of God’s splendid signs and a visible miracle. The Most High said: “Glory be to Him who carried His servant by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, around which We have blessed to show him one of Our signs.”

The ceremony included verses from the Holy Quran and a visual show entitled “Journey to Allah” containing five scenes, a song about the occasion, a theatrical operetta entitled “The Prophet and the Friend” and a poem.

The ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed Al-Hajri, Governor of the Interior, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Wael bin Saif Al-Harassi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, and a number of officials and invitees.
