Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, celebrated today the Omani Industry Day; that was in honor of the high-level visit paid by the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, to the Rusayl Industrial Estate on the 9th of February 1991 .

The meeting, which was organized by the Ministry via video call, shed light on the most prominent achievements of the Omani industry during the past year 2021, and the expected growth prospects in the industrial sector and related sectors, and reviewed the most important developments in the industrial sector in the Sultanate of Oman, industrial trends and policies, and the most important steps that the Ministry seeks to achieve. during the coming period.

The meeting also discussed the most important challenges facing the Omani industry and industrialists, with the aim of increasing the contribution of the industrial sector to the GDP and advancing development and the economy, which confirms and embodies the Ministry’s continuous support for industry and industrialists and the importance of keeping pace with modern technologies through these meetings.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Qais bin Muhammad Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, His Excellency Dr. Saleh bin Saeed Musan, Undersecretary for Trade and Industry, His Excellency Eng. Rida bin Juma Al Saleh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of officials in the Ministry.
