Oman Cement receives acquisition offer to acquire over 15% share capital from Abra Holdings

Muscat: Oman Cement Company receives written notice from Abra Holding limited containing information relating to an acquisition offer to acquire over 15.42% of the issued share capital of Oman Cement Company SAOG.

In a disclosure to Muscat Stock Exchange the company said: “Oman Cement Company SAOG advises the Capital Market Authority, the Muscat Stock Exchange and the investors’ community that it has today received a written notice from Abra Holdings Limited containing information relating to an acquisition offer to acquire 15.42% of the issued share capital of Oman Cement Company SAOG in accordance with the Takeover & Acquisition Regulation (Capital Market Authority Decision No. 2/2019).

The Board of Directors of Oman Cement Company SAOG hereby confirms that it is not seeking another person to make a competing offer for the shares in Oman Cement Company SAOG. Further information in respect of the above will be duly disclosed on the Muscat Stock Exchange website in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws and regulations.
