Muscat: Sheikh Abdullah Shuwain Al Hosni, Chairman of Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) met today with Maqsoud Kruse, Chairman of the National Human Rights Institute of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a set of topics that enhance the joint work.
They also discussed means of exchanging expertise to benefit from the experiences of the two institutions in a manner that serves human rights.
Meanwhile, the visiting delegation was briefed on the role played by the OHRC since its inception and its work mechanisms, objectives and terms of reference, as well as its its efforts locally, regionally and internationally in the field of human rights. – ONA
