Oman Chairs Meeting of GCC Information Undersecretaries

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, chaired today the meeting of GCC Undersecretaries of Ministries of Information, which was held in preparation for the 26th meeting of GCC Ministers of Information.

Oman was represented during the meeting, held via video-conferencing, by Mohammed Said Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information. The meeting discussed several topics related to mutual GCC action in the information field.

The meeting also reviewed the matter of approving a joint plan for emergencies during crises and catastrophes, as well as the joint app of GCC news agencies.

Moreover, the meeting came up with several recommendations which will be reviewed during the 26th meeting of GCC information ministers that will be held in 18 October 2023. – ONA
