

Cairo: The Sultanate of Oman today chaired a meeting of states that are parties to the “Arab Charter on Human Rights”.
Held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo, the meeting was dedicated to electing three members to the Arab Human Rights Committee, known as “The Charter Committee.”
In the meeting, which saw the participation of 18 member states, Oman was represented by Abdullah Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League.
Oman attended the meeting for the first time, after depositing the document of accession to the Arab Charter on Human Rights on 9 April 2023. – ONA
