Oman chairs the 157th Session of the GCC Ministerial Council

Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired today the meeting of the 157th session of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Sayyed Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and His Excellency the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council. In his speech before the meeting,

His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Gulf Cooperation Council, since its establishment, has planned an approach to communication and opening areas of cooperation with various countries and groupings, in a way that achieves common interests, security, stability, development and prosperity for all, pointing to the successive meetings held by the Council at all levels with these countries and groupings.

In order to reinforce this laudable trend, and to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the peoples of the GCC countries in all areas of cooperation. The Ministerial Council also reviewed the topics on the agenda, and the efforts made by the committees working within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the General Secretariat to implement the decisions of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council regarding strengthening joint Gulf action in all fields. The Council reviewed the latest developments in joint Gulf action and developments in political issues regionally and internationally. .
