Dhofar Khareef visitors exceed one million by end August 2024
Salalah: The number of visitors to the Dhofar Khareef since the beginning of the season until the end of August 2024 has reached 1,06,635 visitors, an increase of 9 percent compared to the last season in 2023, when 924,127 tourists visited.
Preliminary estimated statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the number of Omani visitors increased by 8.7 percent, recording 713,105 visitors, while the number of visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries reached 171,762 visitors, compared to 156,953 visitors during the same period in 2023, while the number of visitors from other nationalities reached 121,767 visitors, compared to 111,055 visitors last year.
The number of visitors arriving through land ports reached 786,107 visitors until the end of last August, and 220,528 visitors via air travel, an increase of 5.2 percent compared to those arriving via air travel during the same period in 2023. It is noteworthy that August recorded 59 percent of the total fall visitors this year.
