Oman Customs Introduces facial recognition verification system for Customs Services in ROP app
Muscat: Oman Customs launches the facial recognition verification system in (Customs Services) in the Royal Oman Police application for customs brokers as a first phase.
Oman Customs said: The Royal Oman Police – General Directorate of Customs is pleased to announce the activation of the facial recognition verification system when accessing the customs services, Bayan system, through the Royal Oman Police electronic application, starting from October 1, 2024.
The application will be applied to clearance companies only as a first phase, in an effort to further improve digital customs services, and to maintain security and privacy.
