    • Oman Elected First Vice-President of Arabic Geographical Names Experts’ Division

    Muscat: Represented by the National Survey Authority, Ministry of Defence, the Sultanate of Oman was elected to the occupy the position of First Vice-President of the Division of Arab experts in Geographical Names.

    Col. Yousuf Harith Al Nabhani, member of the National Survey Authority, was chosen to fill this position. The decision was in implementation of recommendations of the 9th Arab Geographical Names Experts’ Conference, held in Oman from 5 to 7 December in cooperation with the Royal Geographical Centre in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

    During the conference, it was decided to elect a first vice-president for the Arab Division of Geographical Names Experts. The decision reflects the National Survey Authority’s success in meeting the goals set for the Arab Division of Geographical Names Experts.
