Oman Embassy in Addis Ababa Celebrates 53rd National Day

Addis Ababa: Counselor Ahmed bin Bakhit bin Saeed Al Shehri, Charge d’Affaires of the Sultanate of Oman to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and Observer Delegate to the African Union, held a reception on the occasion of the 53rd Glorious National Day in the capital, Addis Ababa.

The ceremony included a speech in which the advisor touched on the renewed renaissance the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing in various fields under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the investment opportunities in the field of green hydrogen.

He pointed out that Omani-Ethiopian relations are full of constructive cooperation in various fields, crowned by mutual visits between the two sides, especially this year, with the aim of signing a number of memorandums of understanding in the field of work, export and import, in addition to opening direct shipping lines between Addis Ababa and some Omani ports.

The ceremony was attended by the Ethiopian government, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Jebo Ganga, Director General of the Middle East, Asia and Pacific Department at the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of senior officials in the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Their Excellencies the ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries, representatives of international organizations in Addis Ababa, and a number of Ethiopian businessmen.
