    • Oman Marks National Day at Embassy Reception in Nicosia

    Muscat: Mohammed Abdullah Al Nahdi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Cyprus, hosted a reception on the occasion of the Glorious National Day.

    The event was attended by Alexis Vafeades, Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works of the Republic of Cyprus, as the guest of honor, alongside government officials, business leaders, and distinguished members of Cypriot society.

    Also present were heads of accredited missions and members of the diplomatic corps. In his Speech, the Ambassador underscored the steady growth of Omani–Cypriot relations, noting that this year was marked by the signing of several memoranda of understanding in the fields of health, transport, and maritime affairs.

    He reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to enhance their cooperation across various sectors. For his part, the Minister of Transport, Communications, and Works of the Republic of Cyprus congratulated the Sultanate of Oman on the occasion of the Glorious National Day, praising the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on the regional and international issues.

    He also commended the Embassy’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and expressed his appreciation to the Government of the Sultanate of Oman for its support on the Cyprus issue.

    The ceremony also featured the taking of commemorative photographs and the presentation of a souvenir gift to the guest of honor, reflecting Omani culture and heritage.
