Tokyo: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan held a reception celebrating the 53rd Glorious National Day at its headquarters in the capital, Tokyo, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan.
The ceremony witnessed the launch of the website dedicated to introducing the history of five decades of bilateral relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Japan, which is the result of an integrated political, economic and cultural project that was launched last year on the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
His Excellency the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Japan said: The visitors enjoyed traditional Omani cuisine, and were introduced to Omani hospitality as they drank coffee and sweets in an Omani heritage tent, adding that there is a bilateral desire to continue developing relations and push them to new heights.
Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Yoichi Fukazawa expressed his participation, saying: “I am very happy to participate in the celebration alongside representatives of a large number of countries. We have excellent relations with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Japan, and this is something that really pleases me. I enjoyed very much the beautiful atmosphere in this wonderful ceremony.”
. Miki Yamada, a representative in the Japanese Parliament, former Minister of the Environment and Secretary-General of the Japan-Oman Parliamentary Friendship Association, indicated that there are promising prospects for developing bilateral relations in the fields of energy and industrial sectors, and in developing cultural exchange and achieving mutual understanding of heritage and historical aspects.
A booklet in Japanese was also distributed, issued by the embassy, highlighting the economic components, investment incentives, and natural and strategic potential that characterize the Sultanate of Oman.
