Oman embassy in Netherlands celebrates 53rd National Day

Hague: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the Kingdom of the Netherlands celebrated the 53rd Glorious National Day.

On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Harithi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, held a reception in The Hague.

His Excellency delivered a speech in which he praised the strong relations between the two friendly countries, which are witnessing development in various political, economic and cultural fields, and joint cooperation, especially in the field of hydrogen energy.

His Excellency referred to the recent visit of the Netherlands Football Players Team to the Sultanate of Oman, and to the Omani Village in the city of Nijmegen, through which visitors learn about the archaeological monuments, architecture and Omani culture.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Eric Vervall, Secretary-General of the Royal Palace, the envoy of His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency Nuzhat Shamin Khan, Deputy Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, a number of senior civil and military officials, representatives of official bodies and the private sector, and a number of Their Excellencies the ambassadors of countries accredited to the Kingdom. The Netherlands and a number of figures from the International Court of Justice and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
