Oman–EU Dialogue Reaffirms Commitment to Human Rights Cooperation

Joint Oman–EU Talks Address Human Rights and International Standards

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the European Union today held a joint dialogue on human rights in Muscat, with the participation of a number of specialized authorities from both sides.

During the session, the two sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening joint cooperation in the field of human rights, in line with international standards and the promotion of the principles of justice and equality.

The Omani side was chaired by Saleh bin Yahya Al Maskari, Head of the Global Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the European side was chaired by Anna Maria, Head of the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq Division at the European External Action Service (EEAS).
