Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has called for restraint to spare the region and its people from the dangers of war.
Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that the Sultanate of Oman confirmed that it is following with great interest the developments of the military escalation in the region, the seriousness of its repercussions, and stressed the importance of self-restraint to spare the region and its people from the dangers of war.
The Sultanate of Oman is emphasising its position calling for adherence to international laws and the need for the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its responsibility towards maintaining international peace and security.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign today once again stressed the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the opening of humanitarian and relief aid corridors to all parts of the Strip without obstacles.
