Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman issued a statement expressing its deep sorrow over the unfortunate explosions that took place at Beirut Port Tuesday evening, which resulted in killing scores and injuring thousands.
In a statement added that the Sultanate expresses its solidarity and standing with the Republic of Lebanon and its brotherly people and extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishes for the speedy recovery of the wounded and the injured.
The Sultanate of Oman also expressed its hope that Republic of Lebanon will overcome this painful ordeal and that peace prevail throughout its territories.
On Tuesday the death toll was reported 73 in the evening, but early Wednesday morning according to the Lebanese Red Cross said the number of those killed in the explosions now stood at 100.and injured 4,000.
