Oman extends validity of visas till the end of December

Muscat: Oman extends validity for all visas for expats stranded abroad until December 31 without any fines says ROP.

Major General Abdullah bin Ali Al Harthi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, said Royal Oman Police will extend visas issues at the beginning of the year until the end of this year regardless of the visa type, and no additional fees will be charged for this extension.

Anyone who has workers abroad can contact them, access the visa portal, and get the visas that have been extended for additional periods, then workers can return to Oman.

Issuing visas will return to its previous situation will the same procedures for all categories, effective September 1st.

There will be no list of banned countries, and all people entering Oman will be subject to the procedures announced by the Supreme Committee.

For owners of valid residency, the previous system required that those who had a valid residence not to remain outside the Sultanate for more than 6 months – however, this procedures can be processed at the request of the guarantor (sponsor) at the Passport and Residence Department.

Abiding by the procedures relating to the entry requirements to public and private facilities is the responsibility of the facility, and the Royal Oman Police will play a supporting role in supporting these entities.

ROP will be issuing all types of visas from September 1, 2021, but the conditions of entry to the Sultanate related to receiving the two doses of the vaccine and other procedures according to CAA will be applied.
