Muscat: His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will visit India next week.
During his Delhi visit is expected to be from March 23 to 24, and during his visit to New Delhi, the Omani Foreign Minister will hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Jaishankar, as the two ministers had met last December in the UAE on the sidelines of the Indian Ocean conference
The visit comes even as February saw a slew of high-level visits of Omani defense leadership to India. Oman’s Secretary General of Defense Dr. Mohammed bin Nasser bin Al Al-Zabbi, Commander of Royal Navy of Oman, Rear Admiral Said Al Rahbi had visited India last month.
February also witness a bilateral Air Force exercise in Jodhpur between India and the Oman Air Force.
The report also said Oman is India’s closest defense partner in the Gulf region and an important anchor for India’s defense and strategic interests.
