    • Oman has more than 1.6m registered vehicles

    Muscat: The total number of registered vehicles in the Sultanate of Oman reached 1,645,190 by the end of September 2023 according to the latest data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

    Vehicles with private registration constituted 79.6 percent of the total vehicles registered in Oman, to stand at 1,310,342, while the number of vehicles with commercial registration constituted 14.7 percent, to stand at 241,613 vehicles,

    Meanwhile, taxi vehicles reached 27,951 vehicles. The number of rental vehicles reached 32,972

    In terms of vehicle weights, the number of vehicles weighing less than 3 tons reached 1,485,415 vehicles, representing 90.29 percent of the total vehicles registered in the Sultanate of Oman.
