Muscat: The Higher Education Institutions, Training and Human Resources Improvement Exhibition 2023 kicked off today, in its second edition, with the participation of more than one governmental and private institution from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, and it will last for three days. The opening ceremony was sponsored by Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, and in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies, parents, male and female students.
The exhibition, which coincided with the announcement of the results of the general education diploma and its equivalent, targets male and female students, graduates of the secondary diploma, and anyone wishing to complete their university studies, to introduce them to the participating institutions and the majors they offer.
Hafeez bin Muslim Jaaboub, Media and Marketing Officer at the exhibition, said that the exhibition provides an opportunity for high school diploma students to respond to all their inquiries related to joining these educational institutions. This makes it easier for them to obtain information directly and easily, in addition to the employee looking to develop his skills and improve his job level by obtaining a higher level of education in the public and private sectors.
He added: The number of institutions participating in the exhibition reached more than 40 public and private educational institutions, academies and training centers from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman under one umbrella.
In her turn, the student Kholoud Abdel-Amir Reda, a high school diploma graduate, said: Choosing majors does not come until you know your personal preference for one of the majors. Visiting the exhibition gave her the opportunity to get acquainted with the majors offered in colleges and universities, which coincided with the period of adjusting desires in the unified admission center system. Therefore, I advise my fellow students to visit the exhibition and get to know the participating universities closely. It is worth noting that the exhibition is organized by Horizon International Company for Organizing Exhibitions in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation.
