Oman hotel revenues surge to 8.6% during first half 2024

Muscat: The revenues of 3-5-star hotels in the Sultanate of Oman stood at RO 119,493,000 during the first half of 2024, up by 8.6% compared to RO 110,068,000 registered over the corresponding period in 2023, according statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The rise in revenues is attributed to the increase in the number of hotel guests by 10.7% to stand at 1,045,226 guests compared to 944,268,000 during the corresponding period in 2023. Occupancy rate also grew by 2.7%.

The number of Omani guests reached 363,240, comprising a rise by 7.4%. Moreover, the number of guests from GCC countries increased by 3% to stand at 75,066. The number of other Arab guests stood at 49,040 (up by 11%). The number of European guests also surged by 19.2% to stand at 298,247.

The number of guests from the American continents stood at 32,090, while guests from the African continent stood at 5,528 (up by 0.8%). Asian guests also rose by 12.6% to stand at 159,187, while guests from Oceania countries reached 15,619.
